Culture & Ethnic Minority Model Group
The Culture & Ethnic Minority Model Group is an inclusive creative collective founded by SCENE Academy to celebrate cultural identity, heritage and authentic representation in fashion and media.
This initiative exists to create meaningful space for models from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds — particularly those who feel underrepresented in mainstream creative industries.
This is more than a modelling opportunity.
It is a platform for visibility, voice and collective growth.
Why this matters?
Fashion and media shape narratives.
When diversity is limited, stories are limited.
When representation is tokenistic, identity becomes simplified.
Through this collective, we aim to:
• Increase authentic cultural representation
• Create respectful, culturally inspired editorial work
• Build confidence within minority communities
• Encourage cross-cultural collaboration
• Shift from tokenism to meaningful inclusion
Representation is not a trend.
